(01) Brief

A museum about design should look like it knows.

Halde reopened in 2026 with a new wing, a new director and no visual identity to speak of. The brief was to build one system that works on a façade banner, a ticket stub and the museum website, without ever needing a designer in the room.

(02) Approach

One grid, one typeface, one rule for colour.

Everything sits on a twelve-column grid taken from the building’s own window bays. A custom cut of Keller Grotesk carries all communication, and the only colour is the black of the museum’s steel staircase.
